The SLS has made arrangements to allow the borrowing on physical materials from SUNY Fredonia. The library has created a search interface that should limit to the physical items they have in their collection. You can find the search and more information here: https://fredonia.libguides.com/SLS

Once materials have been found, requests for materials can be made using the Google form found here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSceWQcmTrMGZUvsEksaoG8GKt8rS1nF0XX8LWfhmiqjHUH3wg/viewform?usp=sf_link

Please provide as much information as possible. Requests are picked up and delivered on Thursdays from the SUNY Fredonia Library and brought to the SLS offices before being sent out to the requesting district.

Materials are generally loaned for 16 weeks.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

The Videos and DVDs in the Union Catalog are listed for informational purposes only. All Videos and DVDs are subject to copyright law and may be subject to contractual use limitations covering site, term, home use only, etc., which restrict interlibrary lending. Every school district library is cautioned to carefully review all contracts by which it secured copies of such works for any use and loan restrictions and abide by the terms of such contracts.
